The “She” that Lives Among Us….

Cristina Lynn Acevedo is a mixed media artist & illustrator, NYS certified art educator, and the creator behind the She Lives Among Us NYC pseudonym. Her work is an exploration of self, surroundings, survival ,and connection.

Acevedo at her core is a storyteller, using her own mythology that is a juxtaposition of Christian iconography, Arawak (Taino) legend, and her own experiences to confront the many facets of the human condition, especially those involving womanhood and their connection to the divine.
